At SMC you can also learn to make a couch, a bed, a dining room set, and so on. With a few basic hand tools and some sustainably selected wood nearby, anyone can build their own log furniture. Obtaining basic skills in furniture building frees a person from spending thousands of dollars on factory-made furniture while allowing the builder to create something with a personal touch.
