Events
Welcome to our Events page! Listed below are the dates in which activities will be taking place at SMC or related venues. This year we will continue to develop our organic food garden and build a year-around straw bale greenhouse. We are also offering a free mini Straw Bale Building Workshop! And if our timing is right, and the weather cooperates, attendees will get hands-on experience working on the actual SB greenhouse at Sage Mountain Center.
Tours, Field Trips, Education Days, Customized Classes and Consultations, Site Assessments, and Private Seminars will fill out our year, so be sure to come back to this site for updated postings.

Plastered Straw Bale Home Construction is sweeping the country, and for good reason. It has minimal environmental impact, is super-insulated, and can be very affordable. We will cover construction methods, bale selection, plaster mixes, rodent/fire/moisture/code issues, and everything in between as we get our hands dirty and work on a new year-round greenhouse project at Sage Mountain Center. This free workshop is our way of saying thank you to the years of support we have been shown by our many friends and associates. Bring your own sack lunch and some work clothes. Click here for directions to SMC.
